About the Author
Hayden Egerton

Hayden Egerton is the founder, CEO and principal exercise physiologist at Resilience Rehabilitation & Performance (RRP), established in 2020 following his early career in private clinical practice.
With a specialised focus on pain science and performance-based rehabilitation, Hayden developed the Pain Codex Model – a structured, evidence-informed framework designed to help people move beyond persistent pain, restore capacity, and regain long-term independence. The model is built on four core pillars and challenges traditional, passive approaches to rehabilitation by prioritising understanding, control, progression, and sustainable performance.
Hayden’s work centres on helping busy professionals, high achievers, and athletes overcome pain, injury, and performance plateaus without disengaging from training or daily life. His approach has supported a wide range of clients, including international-level NRL athletes and world long drive professionals, who have applied the Pain Codex principles to remain competitive while managing complex physical demands.

Education, Mentorship & Industry Impact
Beyond clinical work, Hayden is an active educator within the exercise physiology and fitness industries. He regularly delivers CPD sessions, workshops, and in-house education for exercise physiology businesses and functional fitness gyms, translating modern pain science into clear, practical decision-making frameworks for coaches and practitioners.
This educational focus underpins RRP’s broader mission – to improve rehabilitation standards inside training environments by replacing ad hoc injury management with structured, repeatable systems that keep members training safely and consistently.

Systems-Based Rehabilitation for Gyms
Under Hayden’s leadership, RRP has formed strategic partnerships with functional fitness facilities across Australia. This includes a proof-of-concept collaboration with USC, a HIIT-style strength and conditioning gym in Brisbane.
From this work, Hayden developed Member Momentum – an in-house rehabilitation and progression system specifically designed for gym environments. The system integrates triage, assessment, programming modifications, and coach communication into existing gym operations, helping facilities retain injured members while improving outcomes and confidence across their coaching teams.

Clinical Approach & Philosophy
Hayden combines telehealth services with on-site gym partnerships through a hybrid delivery model that maximises accessibility without compromising clinical standards. His work is grounded in evidence-based practice, systems thinking, and the belief that rehabilitation should enhance autonomy rather than create dependency.
Through RRP, Hayden continues to focus on scalable, practical solutions that help people train, perform, and live with confidence – even when pain or injury is part of the picture.
